when we send people to war for things like land, money, and power, we can verily say that human life has long since lost it's value. plain and simple.
when you can trade human life for a resource, or rather, AS a resource, we (as a society) have once again re-achieved the statutes of SLAVERY. we are property. an asset. a pawn.
A sad realization that ignorance and bliss are no longer mutually exclusive...

Knowledge is Power...?
Ohh, community college, how you've failed me!
Being taught politics by a politician was never a good idea. It doesn't take a genius to mine that gem.
I wonder, if I strolled in in a nice suit, would you also hire me to teach a class I'm clearly under-qualified for? Would you place me in control of influencing the minds of slews of youth, allowing me to disperse my delusional bullshit under the age-old guise of being unbiased?
I'm willing to bet my tax dollars you will.

Like a mouse being lured to it's metaphorical death, misinforming our youth is in itself is a true tragedy. The byproducts of this sneaky but effective programming are cliche' and too numerous to count. Read any history book (one that depicts an accurate account of our pasts) and one can clearly see that history does in fact repeat itself- if we let it. These high-held ideals of what our supreme institution is (when in reality, can only be in theory) are planted in our heads, sprouting into unshakable weeds that even the most blatent and evident facts can no longer uproot. People will believe what they are taught to. Likewise, they will go the extra mile to warp and twist or downright ignore what they are taught to -in order to keep a particular untainted image in mind.

Now I know we're all only human. Nobody expects anybody to be perfect. And by no miraculous stretch do we expect politicians to be perfect. But lying to paint a euphemistic picture of an ugly sight is tacky, plain and simple!
Bottom line? We must educate ourselves. We can not rely on those elected officials we trust in to give us the whole undiluted truth; we must go out and get it for ourselves!
After all, Knowledge is Power!

we, the people?
a lot of things can be considered contraversial, but none more than the conduct that our "leaders" have executed not only behind our backs but right in front of our eyes! We have forgotten how to be. And with every aging day, our government-influenced media and society takes us further and further away from the basic principles that make a human, human.
we are no longer human natured, we are anamalistic in our methods, fending for only ourselves under the false belief that we HAVE TO to survive. When in truth, America is the perfect candidate for a social democracy. We are not in dire need of resources like food, or fertile land. We have a SURPLUS of it. These are the perfect conditions in which this type of distribution method would THRIVE.
So why hasn't this been tried? Well, years and years of propaganda-influenced brainwashing, that's why. The American people has been PROGRAMED to believe that Socialism and Communism are directly connected. When the reality remains to be that ANY KIND OF DISTRIBUTION METHOD CAN BE LINKED TO COMMUNISM IF THE CONDITIONS ARE RIGHT. For example, look at America today. We're a Capitalistic country, right? Wrong. Capitalism is when there is a FREE MARKET a LASSIEZ FAIRE. A market that is UNINFLUENCED IN ANY WAY BY THE GOVERNMENT. Now is that the case today?

I think it is clear that we are no longer (and haven't been for quite some time) a Capitalist nation. We live in an age where our own liberties are too limited while the liberties of our ruling party are limitless.
These days distribution rights appear to be under the control of the United States government. OR are they? Is the government really in control anymore? Or have they let their frankenstein baby usurp the control they though they would easily harbor. The government, (under both republican and democratic rule) have been notorious for aiding in multi-billion dollar mergers that would otherwise be unconstitutional (take BP for example...). They have contributed billions to bailouts, hoping to keep major corporations alive. But why? aren't major corporations that steal jobs from honest hard-working americans called something else? oh, yeah, MONOPOLIES? which are, ironically, illegal! These billion dollar corps. are STEALING American jobs, sending them out of the country and raping underprivilaged workers overseas of proper pay and care. It's a dirty business they're running, and it's no wonder they're having such a hard time cleaning up their muddy tracks.
These corporations are actually so lucrative they seem to be having an easy time PERSUADING members of our own congress to do their dirty bidding. Members of the Senate, who strangly serve a whopping SIX YEAR TERM are put to work NOT for the good of mankind but rather for the good of their OVERFLOWING POCKETS and the pockets of their comerades. Congress, people WE elected to make decisions on OUR behalf are taking their leisure at OUR expense. Millions of our hard earned tax dollars are being used for ludicrous causes. We work so they can play. How did this happen?
Well there is a long chain of events that led up to this monumentous pre-finale. (Do some research, look up Regan and his wonderful disillusions) But why pre-finale? Because they're not done, they've taken our jobs, our homes, our pride and our civil liberties. "What's left?", one might ponder. Well, my friends, it doesn't matter what's left, as long as your are alive, these "GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS" will continue to rob and exploit us, the AMERICAN PEOPLE, for all we're worth.
They are playing on the chance that we will never realize that there are more of US than there are of them. And that eventually, there will be enough of US who are brave enough to stand up for what is RIGHTFULLY OURS. Our freedom. which is something they have thusfar toyed with like a child might play with a inanimate doll. We have GIVEN THEM THE POWER to rule our lives from afar. People we have never met or even heard of are making decisions RIGHT NOW that will shape and alter OUR LIVES in some way or another. Whether it be our gas prices, our school curriculums, even which GROCERIES WE HAVE THE OPTION TO BUY. They have it down. They are in the final stages of their plan (which has pretty much succeeded up to this point), which was to manufacture a certain "type" of American. Obese, Undereducated, and COMPLETELY RELIANT ON THEIR GOVERNMENT FOR FOOD, HOUSING, HEALTH CARE, PROTECTION, AND LIVELIHOOD.
we have ultimately lost the need to think for ourselves. which i believe is the greatest robbery yet.

Wonderland...

Things have been a little rocky lately. It seems bad news is hidden around every corner these days. So what is one to do when physical solace is no longer tangible?
Make your own! Find the quiet place in your imagination, your own wonderland, so to speak.
I was fortunate enough to find a venue where I could channel fragments of my fantasyland into reality, in the form of a closet door mural. :)
Come join us, we're taking tea under the shade of giant mushrooms...

We the People

Up until recently, dodging newspaper stands and television screens that might be broadcasting updates on our political and social affairs was instinctual. The tales were just too depressing to bare, and the headlines all ubiquitously similar. An oil spill killing thousands of animals here, a new sneaky proposal further stripping the American people of their Natural Rights there...
It wasn't until I accidentally got ahold of Michael Moore's latest jem: Capitalism: A Love Story that my eyes were re-opened and I began to remembered how important those ignored subjects were.
For years now these underlying fears have been put on the back burner. But as each day in this wonderful country so many of us call home unfolds, it becomes increasingly evident that the back burner is not where these concerns belong.
Moore's documentary is more than a flick you watch once and then forget about, it is a blatant call to action. The fire-squad's a callin', can you hear it? ...It is about darn time those of us who are the true patriots of this country step things up. And I'm not talking about your over-zealous neighbor with his flag-adorned car and tacky views on immigration (among other things...). I'm talking about you, the open-minded, eco-friendly, pot smoking humanitarian. Who understands that patriotism sprouts from love, not hate.
What sparked this train of thought? Recently, gov't officials in Arizona elected to "tighten" their control over the boarders in hopes of keeping America to the "Americans". Why is this ironic? Oh I don't know, maybe because it contradicts the basis of our origin?! We are the Melting-Pot, people! And if you don't know that term than you are dumber than a fifth-grader, ha! No pun intended. But seriously we are great because we are diverse. By fighting it you do nothing more than spark a modern-day witch hunt for all those tan. (naturally tan, that is.)
To prove my point, here are the two major arguments against immigration:
What about all our jobs, they'll be gone! Our jobs left the country years ago! You can thank the Reagan Administration and Capitalism for that, bitchhesss.
What about the influx of drugs? The point is, whether the border is open or closed, drugs will still find a home in the United Sates, just as they do in every other country in the world. Only an imbecile would believe that closing our borders will halt drug traffic. Whether we "crack down" or not is irrelevant. And let's face it, these are not even the real issues at hand...
It's high time we set aside our prejudices and get to the real problem. Which, ironically, fail to exist once the issue of prejudice is out of the way...
* * * * *
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm sure not everyone who is anti-immigration is a self-righteous, over-zealous, pseudo-Christian, bigot.
But I'm willing to bet a good 98% are.
Remember: Assuming you have the right to tell people how and where to live, or who to love, and how to love them does not qualify you as a patriot! True patriots fight for the freedom to choose for themselves!
In any case, the solution to this "problem" is simple enough. We do not need to create any new laws, but rather enforce the ones we already have.
For example, how about better enforcement of employer regulations?...
For example, how about better enforcement of employer regulations?...
